“I won’t give up on us

Even if the skies get rough

I’m giving you all my love
I’m still looking up

And when you’re needing your space
To do some navigating
I’ll be here patiently waiting
To see what you find

‘Cause even the stars they burn
Some even fall to the earth
We’ve got a lot to learn
God knows we’re worth it
No, I won’t give up”

I sat there.Drink in hand. Hoping to numb all my feelings as I awaited for your arrival. I made sure the drinks kept coming. I enjoyed the company of your house mates and it was as if i was connected again. Even if they were strangers, I felt so close to them SIMPLY because they were close to you.

The door opens and you walk in ever so casually. The room went silent and all the noise filtered out. I saw and heard noone else. I hesitantly looked at you and smirked. I’d like to think I did a good job of hiding how scared I was. Scared of what I would feel once we made eye contact. Scared of all the memories that would rush back and remind me how far I’ve come since that fateful day.

Sure enough it happened..

My heart dropped. I could feel it at the pit of my stomach. The face I saw was as I remembered, but something was off. I could still see the pain in your eyes and the scars on your heart..or whats left of it.

I admit, I broke you. I tore you down and drove you to the point of insanity because I questioned your self-worth. I was selfish and just expected you to stick around. Was I that self-consumed?? Did I really think that such a sweet, hopeless romantic, one-man type of guy wouldnt be able to find someone better??…

Well here I am. 5 months have passed and I feel like If Im gonna make this work, Im gonna have to exert the effort and make it known. I want to make you feel special. Make you feel secure knowing that Im forever yours..and your forever mine.

I want you to believe that our love hasnt died and has only become stronger from the time apart.

I wont give up on us…If you just let me in….

Had dinner in a part of Manila that reminded me of Home. Quiet, Organized streets, and fresh air.

-California Screamin-
I remember the first time I rode this thing. Me and KT buckled up in our seats, not knowing that our hearts and our stomach’s would be left at the entrance. Were were claws deep in our seat braces and like the name, SCREAMIN our lungs out.
At 55MPH, we got off the ride standing there in awe. We looked at each other for a second before running back into line to give it another go. This was the highlight of my trip to Disneyland/California Adventure.. and no better person to spend it with :)

I use to be one of the millions that had read only the “first page”. By 20 years old, the farthest I’ve ever traveled was a 1-hour ferry boat ride from my hometown to downtown Seattle. My only reference to asian culture (outside of home) was through the Japanese market, Chinese resto’s, and numerous bubble tea joints that flooded the city. That was the world I knew.
Fast forward 6 years—
I look back and laugh. I saw the world from one angle. One perspective. Ive been lucky enough to travel thanks to my family in SO-cal and have traveled to nearly all 4 corners of the United States, Canada, and now..ASIA.
I have been in and out of the Philippines for the past 2 years. And seeing as PI is nearly the epicenter of the east, I have taken advantage of cheap flights to Beijing, Seoul, and Hong Kong.
I plan to visit Hong Kong once again since my previous visit left me wanting more (2 days doesnt cut it). Singapore and Thailand are at the top of my list and plan to visit those by years end. Even Vietnam and cambodia are of interest to me. Might as well right? No better time than now to really explore another culture. It truly does open your eyes. The people, the eye-popping scenery, and of course the cuisine that define the country. Nothing gets better than that.
If anyone wants to plan a trip or join me for an adventure. Message me :)

Dance the night away

There use to be a time where you couldnt find me anywhere else but the dance floor. Any chance I got, I would be eyes half-open and dancing with anyone willing to share the stage with me. Rum& coke in hand, I would give the sun a run for its money.

I loved the feeling of losing all inhibition and for once not give a DAMN what people thought of me. I could enjoy the company of complete strangers and not feel awkward one bit. I use to be your typical wallflower and I’d like to think i’ve grown a lot since my early party days.

As much as I hate to say it, I have to thank alcohol for opening that door. I’m by no means an alcoholic. I drink socially. I mean really, have you ever been the only sober person at a party? not fun at all. I end up being a babysitter of sorts and TRUST ME nobody wants to be a spectator to a room full of intoxicated people. ”Do i look obnoxious as these drunks?” is usually whats running through my head. I think we all deserve a night where spontaneity takes over. Where we break loose from the monotonous lifestyles we live.

When I look back, I cant help but laugh out loud. I met people I probably would have never had the courage to speak with if it wasnt for my good friend “JACK DANIELS”. Preparing for a long night out with friends as you put on you fancy swag. Pre-drinking your worries away as you sing out loud to the songs that define our generation. Being around people that make you feel alive. Thats what I live(d) for.

Fast forwarding to the present. I now prefer a glass of wine over almost anything. Its healthier and a great way to end the day. Dont get me wrong, I still enjoy a night of utter craziness every once in awhile. Im just equally entertained with my videogames and company at home :)
